Re: Gooch/Scarlett/St. Clair Ave W/Bridge Update
The city has booked a June 21st stakeholders meeting with the WRPA executive as the first step towards understanding our community's concerns regarding the final design of the intersection.
The WPRA is committed to bringing your concerns with us to the June 21st meeting:
Fill out the survey by June 20th: Submit your response here >
Bring your feedback to the June 13th WPRA meeting 6:30-7:30pm @ Florence Gell Park.
Email further written feedback to info@warrenpark.ca to be shared at the meeting.
Share this update with your neighbours and community groups.
About the survey:
The survey is completely anonymous. We will be collecting opinion, experiences, and feedback to ensure we best represent ALL of the community, including those who reside here, and those who work, play, and learn in our community. You will be asked for your email after submitting this survey should you wish to receive updates.
Survey closes June 20th at 5:00pm.
Background:
After decades of consultations and reports, the City is finally completely redoing the bridge intersection at Gooch, Scarlett, St. Clair, Dundas Street West
The plan is to erect a median on Dundas St. W, restricting access to Gooch to eastbound (right only) from Dundas and eastbound (right) only from Gooch onto Dundas.
The median ignores the most recent (2017) and previous commitments by the City to include Gooch fully in the new intersection, providing full four-way entrance and exit.
The Warren Park Ratepayers’ Association has been advocating for full consultation and input from our community in this decision-making process.
The City has agreed to meet with the Warren Park Ratepayers’ Association Executive on June 21st and we need to ensure that we represent our neighbourhood’s collective voice - that includes you.
